M113 ALV

After completing a number of models of the TENIX M113 AS4 upgraded APC, it was discovered that another version of this vehicle was to be produced for the Regular Australian Army. This was also a stretched version of the old M113, but with the rear of the vehicle removed to form a long tray back.

This has been called the M113 Armoured Logistics Vehicle (ALV). Basically, it is an M113 “Ute” and is a replacement for the old VietNam era M548 Logistic Support Vehicle.

DMG had in stock a number of M113 kits and it was decided to build one as a demonstration model for displays. The model was built in very short time from very limited research materials, and has already proved to be quite a hit. The first model has been presented to TENIX and a second model has been constructed to replace it.
