Just prior to receiving an order for 60 models of the new ARH-1 TIGER Helicopter from Australian Aerospace, DMG wanted to see what the opposition to the TIGER might have looked like. We considered that the closest rival to the TIGER would have been the AH-64D LONGBOW APACHE Attack helicopter of the US Army. This aircraft has been ordered and is now in service with many countries including the UK, Netherlands, Israel and of course has seen action in Afghanistan and Iraq with the US Army.
We completed the Apache with many of the features that may have gone into an Australian Army version of the aircraft and was completed in the Australian Army’s three tone colour scheme. They would have looked quite formidable in Australian Army service had they been selected.
