During the “PACIFIC 2002” Maritime Forum and Expo in January and February 2002, a great deal on interest was expressed in the COLLINS Class Submarine built by DMG. Particular interest was shown by the United States Navy Undersea Warfare Command. 
It had always been the intention of DMG to build an up to date 1:72nd scale model of the COLLINS Class Subs and a master was already underway, being built by Craig Laughton and John Hutcheon. With Craig’s help, DMG completed the master and moulds of all the parts of the COLLINS. 
The first three models were ordered by the United States Navy and these have now been completed and delivered to the United States of America.
Talks are underway with several companies with connections to the COLLINS Project whom are also interested in having a model of the COLLINS grace their office.
